Sean F. O'Shea, Partner

Sean F. O'Shea earned his B.A. at
the University of Illinois in 1978 and his J.D. at Northwestern
University School of Law in 1981. Mr. O'Shea was a Notes and Comments
Editor of the Northwestern University Law Review and received
the Adlai Stevenson Award for writing the best appellate brief in
the Julius Miner Moot Court Competition. Mr. O'Shea began his career
at a large national law firm practicing commercial litigation in
Chicago and California before becoming a federal prosecutor in New
York.
Mr. O'Shea served as Chief of the Business/Securities Fraud Unit
of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York.
During his ten year tenure as a federal prosecutor, Mr. O'Shea tried
more than thirty-five jury trials to verdict and appeared as lead
appellate counsel for the Department of Justice in dozens of appeals
to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Mr. O'Shea is a highly skilled and aggressive trial lawyer in the
areas of both civil and criminal litigation. He has tried cases
ranging from sophisticated business fraud matters in the criminal
context to representing corporations and individuals seeking monetary
damages in securities fraud and RICO cases in the commercial context.
Mr. O'Shea has also had consistent successes in representing individuals
in securities industry compensation disputes before panels of the
National Association of Securities Dealers and the New York Stock
Exchange.
Michael E. Petrella, Partner

Michael E. Petrella, was admitted
to practice in 1995 in New Jersey and in New York and the U.S. District
Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts in 2001. Mr. Petrella
graduated cum laude from Case Western Reserve University
School of Law in 1994 and received his B.A. from Franklin and Marshall
College in 1991. Mr. Petrella was a Contributing Editor of the Case
Western Reserve Law Review.
Mr. Petrella specializes in complex commercial litigation. He has
successfully litigated numerous business disputes at the trial and
appellate levels in both state and federal court. His experience
includes securities fraud, intellectual property and civil RICO
matters, as well as internal shareholder disputes and leveraged
buy-out suits. He has vast experience handling discovery and dispositive
motion practice in large, document intensive financial matters.
Mr. Petrella also has extensive experience litigating investor and
financial industry executive arbitrations before the National Association
of Securities Dealers and the New York Stock Exchange.
